NAVAJO SANTA GOES TO SCHOOL RETURNS
TO MONTEZUMA CREEK ELEMENTARY

MONTEZUMA CREEK, UT. For the second time since 2004 Navajo Santa has visited Montezuma Creek Elemenatry for the Navajo Santa Goes To School program.
Every student recieved a backpack filled with school and art supplies as well as a treat. This year each student also received a royal blue sweatshirt emblazoned with their mascot. Dr. Darrell Thomas and his wife Marty presented a program on oral hygiene and gave students toothbrushes and toothpaste. A check for one thousand dollars was presented to the school administration to be used for funding of the project of their choice.
Montezuma Creek Elementary was the recepient of Navajo Santas very first Goes To School program and felt it was such a success that the board of Navajo Santa decided to vist the school again.
Navajo Santa Goes To Schools goal is to help reinforce the idea that education is a transformative opportunity and to encourage Navajo children to stay in school.
